Utd, Newcastle, QPR, in the run-in to the first title, Roma and Bayern 3-2 in Champions League and Everton away for the last title all took real mental strength. Has that all evaporated? The Utd and Spurs games certainly suggests a disliking for unscripted turns of events.Simon Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01814416205256696455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509309870771298997.post-68216982838080688112015-09-28T14:03:47.612-07:002015-09-28T14:03:47.612-07:00The capitulation at Spurs was similar to OT last s...The capitulation at Spurs was similar to OT last season. Where is the mental strength on these occasions? It seems we can't cope with going behind, even though its usually against the run of play, or in this case, due to linesmen's errors and GK howlers. Leadership quality is vital on the pitch and fighting quality needs to be added to the mix.John Ogdenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12091003466187577861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509309870771298997.post-35941467847122993772015-09-28T10:21:41.611-07:002015-09-28T10:21:41.611-07:00Its been a difficult run and the my fan confidence...Its been a difficult run and the my fan confidence is shattered. Debruyne vanished in the central role v Spurs. When Yaya came off, the team seemed scared. Yes, there were misfires but it simply should be this easy to put this team off. It could be down to bad luck and they could go on another run... but it is disheartening.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06436426232309098920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509309870771298997.post-38723140867601634882015-09-28T05:48:58.015-07:002015-09-28T05:48:58.015-07:00A good piece. Totally agree on most points specifically the form of Aguero, although I would say he had a season similar to this following our first successful Premiership campaign.
I would also note that Kolarov seems to have gone missing and his partnership with Sterling seems to be heading for the divorce courts.Carl LaFonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05164183712992600613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4509309870771298997.post-12483444678233617152015-09-28T03:30:15.569-07:002015-09-28T03:30:15.569-07:00I just cannot believe how unbelievably unlucky we ...I just cannot believe how unbelievably unlucky we are with injuries.
And it's only September!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
